Soldotna Library Board Vacancy

The City of Soldotna has an immediate opening on the Soldotna Library Board.

 

The Library Board reviews operational policies and procedures relating to the public library or services offered by the library. The duties of the Library Board are defined in Soldotna Municipal Code 2.50.020.

 

Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 177 N. Birch Street, Soldotna, Alaska.

 

If you are interested in serving on this board, please submit an application to the City Clerk, 177 N. Birch Street, Soldotna, Alaska 99669.   For further information call Heather Dukowitz, Acting City Clerk at 262-9107.

Special Assessment Districts

On April 24, 2013, the City Council adopted Resolution 2013-022, initiating a special assessment district for six streets in the City of Soldotna.

City of Soldotna Joins 811 Digline Program

Start June 3, 2013, when you call 811, the City will be notified to come locate any municipal water, sewer and street light utilities in the area of your project. You no longer need to call the City directly for these locates. Just call 811 and the City will be notified along with other participating utilities. We hope our participation in this program makes your projects easier and safer.

Apply Now for the 2013 Storefront Improvement Program!

The City is now accepting new applications for the Storefront Improvement Program.  The program is a reimbursable grant, up to $5,000, to fund exterior improvements to businesses in our Commercial and Limited Commercial districts. Click here for the full program guidelines.  If you are interested in applying for funding, please fill out an application, or contact Stephanie Queen at 714-1240 or squeen@ci.soldotna.ak.us for more information.  Funding is limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested.
