Community Schools

The Community Schools program (founded in 1975) is a partnership between the City of Soldotna, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, community members, and our excellent community educators. Through the Community Schools program, residents and visitors alike can gain access to athletic and sports events, cultural and historical education, self-reliance knowledge, and FUN classes for folks of all ages!

For questions, comments, or to form a class and become an instructor yourself, contact Joel Todd at our Parks & Recreation Department.

Futsal Teen/Adult

Futsal (Indoor Soccer)

What are advantages of playing futsal verses soccer?

· More touches on the ball, verses 8v8 or 11v11 outdoor soccer

· More opportunities for everyone to score goals.

· Players are not just a defender or an attacker but a complete soccer player and have a much better all-around understanding of the game

This is not a league, just a class designed to let youth explore their talents and develop a love of the game of Futsal.
