The Soldotna community is alive with activity, no matter if you're visiting during the height of salmon fishing season or the middle of winter. A diverse cross section of organizations such as the Kenai Peninsula College, Tsalteshi Trails, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and the Kenai Watershed Forum ensure that our residents and visitors can pick from athletic events, scholarly talks and round-table discussions, film screenings and movie nights, and arts and food markets.

Runs and Races

While you're staying in Soldotna, come run or walk in one of our community races!

Farmers Markets & Bazaars

Soldotna has three markets dedicated for farmers, makers, and other vendors, which operate during the growing/summer season. On Saturdays from 10am-2pm, check out the Central Peninsula Farmers Market at the parking lot at Kenai Spur Hwy/Corral Avenue. On Tuesdays from 3pm-6pm, the Farmer's Fresh Market is held at the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank on Kalifornsky Beach Road. And on Wednesdays from 11am-5pm, the Wednesday Market is held at Soldotna Creek Park.

Events at the Library

The Soldotna Public Library always has something exciting going on! Bring the kids to the ever popular Lego club, check out a movie screening, or even just settle in beside the community fireplace with a good book. Check out the library's website for more information on their awesome services and events.

Soldotna Regional Sports Complex

The Regional Sports Complex hosts large trade shows that are fun to browse, even if you're not actually in the market to buy! The Kenai Peninsula Sport, Rec & Trade Show happens every May, and the Kenai Peninsula Builders Home Show is always worth a visit in March.

Additionally, during hockey season (September - March), the Sports Complex is home to the Kenai River Brown Bears, our local NAHL junior ice hockey team.
