City Begins Process to Update the Sign Code
City Works with Business Owners & Operators, the Public, and Elected/Appointed Officials to Update Provisions for Commercial Messages
The City is currently working with multiple constituents, including business owners and operators, landowners, members of the general public, and elected/appointed officials, to update the Sign Code. This section of municipal code provides standards on commercial messaging and signage, such as freestanding signs, signs on walls, electronic signs, and temporary signs.
The primary method of communication between these multiple constituent groups will occur through a series of work sessions, meetings which are open to the public. Planning & Zoning Commissioners, as well as City staff, will be present at each of these meetings.
For more information, please visit the City's Sign Code Update webpage, which includes additional information on meetings dates and times, links to local media coverage, and a more detailed explanation of the sign code update. Interested persons may also request to have their name and contact information added to a notification e-mail list for future meetings or other relevant information.
